The story of Christian Barthelmess, soldier, musician, photographer, rancher.

Hardcover, green cloth boards, no DJ, has mylar cover. University of Colorado Press, 1956, limited edition #1125 of 1500. Signed by authors Frink and Spring. In near fine condition, light wear on corners and edges of cover, minor staining to endpapers at hinge (from old glue?), back endpaper has a bookplate pasted in, no owner's name. Interior is clean and bright. An overview history of the cattle industry in the Old West of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Nebraska, Wyoming, Dakota Territory, Montana, and Idaho. Lincoln County War merits one long paragraph, The Johnson County War is covered in two short paragraphs.
