Northwest Bastion by Ted Van Arsdol

I have several books about the Civil War.  I'm not fond of reading non-fiction and try to skip wars in general because no one really wins a war.  Somehow I seem to pick up books about it, though.  Maybe I'm trying to let people learn from history?
